The fifth in a series of lectures inspired by T. S. Eliot’s impact on modern literature.
The 2020 T. S. Eliot lecture, on Eliot and Joyce, will be delivered by Edna O’Brien and streamed from the Irish Embassy in London on her 90th birthday, 15th December.
Adrian O’Neill, the Irish Ambassador to the United Kingdom, will introduce the lecture.
There will be a post-event interview with Edna O’Brien and Scottish novelist Andrew O’Hagan.
Actor Sinéad Cusack will also perform Eliot’s ‘Rhapsody on a Windy Night.’
The lecture premieres on 15th December at 7.30pm on the Abbey Theatre’s YouTube channel. It will be available to watch for one month only.
