The Abbey Theatre would like to extend its gratitude to the outgoing Chair of the Abbey Theatre Board of Directors, Dr. Frances Ruane.

Dr Ruane has chaired the Board since 2017. The Abbey Theatre is extremely grateful for her guidance and expertise in leading the Board for the past seven years, and wish her the best of luck in her next endeavours.


The Abbey Theatre Co-Directors, Artistic Director Caitríona McLaughlin, and Executive Director Mark O’Brien said: “The Abbey Theatre has lost a passionate advocate with Frances Ruane’s departure and personally we will miss her energy and guidance.”
